just some random questions that seem to linger in my mind:

as a plebe female, exactly how short does the hair have to be?

if you validate past Calc III, then what?

if you validate Chem I, Chem II, and Physics, then what?

is a cruise required? if so, when?

when do you stop wearing the plebe whites? and then what do you do with them?

thanks guys....

i can answer one of you questions.

You only wear the whites during plebe summer and never again. When I was at the summer seminar my squad leader told me that they changed the rule so the those uniforms are only worn during plebe summer.

Go to usna.edu or usnaparents.com, there are pictures posted of the current plebe class; you can see how short the hair is.

If you validate classes, you take the next succeeding level of classwork, whatever the discipline. If you are Stephen Hawking you will take whatever classwork or seminars are available. [And if you don't know who Stephen Hawking is, you probably don't need to worry about validating above the level I or II classwork for that particular discipline.] It is doubtful that you will completely validate out of any science/math classes.

Plebes-no-more go on a summer cruise. Various locations, dates, duties, etc. Carriers, subs, etc.

"Plebe" refers to 4/C (4th class) midshipman. Equivalent to "freshman" at a civilian school.

Female hair may not touch their collar. Plebes achieve this standard via a haircut; upperclass may tie hair in a "bun" if it is long, but it still may not touch the collar.

Doubtful you will validate past calc II unless you are entering with 2 yrs of strong college background. AP Calc AB has the potential to validate only Calc 1.

CM

The Physics is calculus-based Physics.
