<p>Harvard also does have a take a professor to dinner program once a semester :)</p>
<p>As a student here, the big joke is about "dropping the H-bomb" and saying you're a Harvard student. It gets parodied all the time, starting during Pre-Frosh weekend at the A capella jam where a capella groups do a skit about this. I have very seldomly experienced people hating on me for attending school here. I came from a public high school in MA, and everyone was proud that I am here now. People I meet along the way randomly also seem proud of me. I guess it depends on the person-- maybe the people who get hated on for being arrogant <em>are</em> a little arrogant, and that's why they don't want to say what school they attend/attended, instead mentioning that "they go to school in Boston". Just another perspective.</p>
