so strange. about 10 minutes ago i got a phone call from a USC alum member asking for me. here's the conversation from what i remember:

him: "did you get your decision yet?"
me: "no not yet"
him: "you've been running to the mailbox everyday huh"
me: "you bet"
him: "well i was just calling regarding an interview for alumni scholarships, but i guess you didn't get your decision yet"

at this point it felt like he was gonna hang up, so i said

me: "wait are you hinting something?"
him: "no i can't speak on behalf of USC... but tomorrow's going to be a beautiful day"
me: "what? but ..."

before i finished he hung up.

so weird! did anyone else get one of these?

yes! it was wierd. first thing was "did you get in?"
and then i had all this stuff to write down and i was in the car and the reception was bad. darn, i should never put my cell for this kind of stuff

Guitars: My D is up for Trustees, and I know you can't accept another USC scholarship with a Trustees. With Pres you can accept up to $2500. So...either she's not getting Trustees..or the Alum people are not in communication with the tuition scholarship people.
I'm hoping for the latter. But ofcourse we're happy with ANY scholarship.

Mikez: D received acceptance on Jan 26. However, two of her friends who have NOT yet received notification of acceptance, also got the alum phone calls today.

That's right I remember now about your dtr being up for Trustee. I bet the alumni office and the tuition office are not in communication. I believe the alumni office works separately. Continued best wishes!

ARE you guys applying as transfers or out of high school? I am applying as a transfer but they asked me to fax my highschool transcripts and college transcripts along with the cover sheet.

I recieved a phone call from an Alumni member too. It was very random... just wondering what this could mean in terms of acceptance or not? Does this mean that they are showing interest in us...?? im very confused..but hoping for the best. why would they want to contact us....?

it was about the same time as mike. and it was pretty much the same convo. except i didnt get the "it's going to be a great day tomorrow" thing.
