What is the average ACT Scores of NU acceptees?

The range, according to CollegeBoard is 29-33. The average, according to Princeton Review is 30.

To expand on sneezy's reply

SAT Reasoning Verbal: 650 - 740 84%
SAT Reasoning Math: 670 - 760 84%
ACT Composite: 29 - 33 52%

percentages refer to percentage of people that submit scores, so obviously ACT is a very popular test for NU applicants.

Poop, I only got a 27.

so obviously a lot of people submit both SAT and ACT, then (cuz the percentages add up to more than 100) so did you submit an SAT too tripperian? And, a 27 is an excellent score!!!

So I might have a shot with the following scores:
31 ACT
690 V
690 M
670 W
(SAT II's significantly better.....800 Math Level 2 and 720 Chemistry)????????????????????

those look like solid scores chloecat. they are all within the range.

hotpiece101-
I havent submitted anything yet.....but I am considering this school. At my school, we have this one scholarship that gives you a four-year full-ride scholarship to some top schools in the country, all you have to do is apply to at least three of the schools on the list and get excepted and you get the scholatship. Northwestern is on the list.

a 27 is a competitive score for Northwestern?

Probably not.

"And, a 27 is an excellent score!!!" As quoted by hotpiece

Haha thanks.

Any idea if Northwestern will use the SAT II writing score....
i got a 790 SAT II Writing but a 700 on the new SAT Writing

crap, I got a 27.

too bad they don't look at the individual scores, because I did really well in reading and english, mediocre in science, and well...horribly in math.

In the ED round, a few CC members got accepted to Medill with good english/reading but relatively low science/math scores. They probably do have strong writing/journalism related ECs.

Yes, I only got a 29 composite, but a 34 English and 32 reading

Dang, your science and math must have been pretty bad.

haha, yes...well the science was just horrible (22), mostly due to a stomach ache and anger.

I also suck at the science section. it is most definitely my worst.

I thought I did terrible in the science part also because they barely give you any time for it....but I got a 26, alright score.
