Rank- An unsolvable dilemma

So I'm a prospective junior who wishes to attend HYPS. I have solid grades (4.0 UW), 2300+ SAT I, 750+ SAT 2's, and will have taken 14 AP's by the end of senior year. HOWEVER, my graduating class seems to be very competitive, meaning some of my peers have taken one or two AP's more than me thus somewhat hampering my rank. My high school is usually moderately competitive, sending around 50 students to top state schools and a handful to Ivies and 2nd tier schools. (Additionally, my school is ranked about 300ish)

My question is, will my rank severely hamper me when applying to Ivy league schools? (I approximate it will be around 5/700) Will college adcoms take into account that the students ranked higher than me took just one or two AP's more than me?

that is fine.
as long as you are in top 1% then there is nothing to fear.

I am in same boat. I didn’t take an AP freshman year, got a ‘B’ in honors English, and was ranked originally at 60 out of 550ish.

I chased rank for the past two years and now I am ranked 3 out of 548 :).

Percentile is most important and don’t get too caught up in stuff you don’t have control over!
