My class only has 60 students, so to be in the top 10 percent, you need to be in the top 6. Now at other schools with 500 kids, it's simple to get in to the top 10 percent.

My school doesn't rank but colleges can still figure out where I stand.

How will this be fair/seen in college admissions?

The percentage makes it fair. While you may feel it is easier to be in the top 50 at a larger school, I can also say there will be many more people who work harder than and are smarter than you. I would say it really could be a problem when a school has fewer than 20 students.

Your school profile will show the size of the class and the ranking methodology being used. Most schools study the school profile to understand your school before analyzing the transcript and secondary school report.

I don’t believe you. Even if I did believe you, I would have to assume that such a school is so ridiculously hard that almost nobody would be capable of getting As.
