@cindytufts Hey! I don’t know what a 9/10 GPA equates to, but if you’re ranked #2, I assume it’s good :).

Your ECs seem fine, but while your SAT scores are great, they are on the low side for where you want to apply. Your SAT II scores, on the other hand, are excellent and will definitely mitigate the SAT score.

Your chances are…
NYU - high match – your SAT is a bit below average here, and NYU has a small endowment and is not that generous with financial aid, so run the Net Price calculator to find out how much it would cost and if money is an issue.
Columbia and Yale - reach – Ivies are a reach for just about everyone. You shouldn’t necessarily cross them off the list, but understand that gaining admission is very tough, even for people coming in with 2250s and 4.0s.

Best of luck!

Columbia and Yale: SAT not competitive. Probably not even a high reach.

@notjoe I wouldn’t say so. Take a look at prior Results threads for these colleges and you will see people with 1900s and even 1800s getting in, while people with 2300s get rejected.

@EIC2400 Most of those people have extreme hooks (athletic, legacy, URM). But even as a URM, a 1990 SAT score is not competitive enough for admission unless you have an amazing application.
