I am thinking of applying to these schools next year. Can you tell me which ones are the best for econ major, and possibly rank them from best to worst please?

McGill
GaTech
USC
UMiami
Tulane
UWisc Mad
UGA
UIndiana Bloom

Thanks for any help. My stats: 4.19 gpa 2100 sat great ec with leadership, will not qualify for financial aid and therefore need scholarships (hence some of the schools above).

what are your PSAT#'s? Do you qualify for NMF in your state?

My PSAT was very good, can’t remember the score. I got a letter from NMS telling me I may qualify for NMF or semi finalist. but haven’t gotten word on selection for semi finalists or finalists yet.

So if you end as a NMF[ which happens to 95% of semifinalists] AND you are accepted at USC you will receive a 1/2 tuition scholarship for 4 years, if you declare USC as your first choice by May of your senior year[ and matriculate there of course] . You may also be eligible for other scholarships from USC, IF you complete your application no later than Dec 1. And applying early does not preclude your applying early to other programs [SCEA], because it is required for scholarship consideration.

That is good to know, thanks! Do you know anything about their econ program?

you may also want to pm Alexandre[ a CC moderator] who knows a LOT more about Economics programs than I do.

I would say USC is the best with Madison as the second best.

Bump s’il vous plait!
