Rank schools based on intended major?

I was wondering if you guys could rank the schools I’ve applied to/gotten into based on how good their programs for my intended major are. I plan on majoring in international affairs (global affairs for gmu and foreign affairs for uva)

These are the schools:

George Mason University
University of Virginia
Old Dominion University
University of Mary Washington
Virginia Tech
James Madison University

Thank you!

Bump?

This is a tough one. I guess I’d rank it like this:

University of Virginia
Old Dominion
Virginia Tech
James Madison
George Mason
University of Mary Washington

UVA is best for sure.
George Mason
James Madison
VTech
Mary Washington
Old Dominion

But this is just my opinion.

UVa is the only one that has shown up in Foreign Policy magazine’s “Ivory Tower” rankings of IR programs.

You could try looking for the others in the US News or NRC/Chronicle rankings of political science programs. However, those are graduate program rankings.

Old Dominion (specifically, its International Studies program) does appear in the NRC/Chronicle’s political science program rankings.

Thank you so much for everyone who replied! UVA rejected me, but VT accepted me. Does anyone else have any opinions? I’m seriously considering Tech but I’m not sure if getting a social science school from a tech school is a good idea?

bump?

Even though VT is a tech school with an emphasis in animal/equine/agriculture sciences, they have very strong academics all-around.

@TheDidactic‌ So I wouldn’t be at a disadvantage if I went to VT instead of let’s say Mason?

No, you would not. What you make of your education (GPA, community involvement, class involvement etc.) matters more.
