I dont know really. its the only school that hasn’t accepted me (postponed), so far, still waiting on tech. So i might be just ragging on it more since they didnt accept me… but i applied for its prestige i suppose, and then realized it was a smidge bit liberal and cold for me. Idk, if i get in ill take a good visit and look at it.

Hey, I went to a very “liberal” school and I’m conservative…engineering majors are probably the most conservative on campus…Wisconsin is big enough that you’d find your social nitch.

That being said, engineering employment opportunities are quite consistent across the country, no matter what college from which you graduate. Engineers are in great demand, and pay is also quite consistent. In my working experience, I have never noticed a premium paid to engineers from top programs vs. mid-ranked to unranked programs…all are paid much the same. The difference is number of companies recruiting from the campuses. Top programs get more attention from employers.

IMO, of all the schools you applied, there is not going to be any difference in starting salary and employment opportunities. Ohio State is going to give you the same opportunity as Wisconsin - at a cheaper price for you.

I would not even be considering Clemson and Virginia Tech, unless you like the warmer weather - or if the schools are cheapest for you, because both of these schools are on the same level as Ohio State for engineering.

You mentioned that you like a huge football school, with a lot of stuff to do…all the schools you listed, with the exception of Rose Hulman, will provide this for you…I’d go to the cheapest (including travel costs) and save money - if the cheapest is Ohio State, I’d say become a Buckeye.

^the conservative in berkeley would qualify as a liberal in other places. :D
