I am worried because of the way my school does class rank that my rank is too low for most colleges but if anyone could tell me my chances or suggest any other schools to consider that would be great

Chance me at
UVA
Maryland
Wake Forest
Cornell
Georgetown
John Hopkins
PSU
BU
BC
Lehigh
Scranton
American
Fordham

No, your class rank is not too low for the schools on your list. Class rank only really counts at the top Ivies and a few other top schools. Most other schools look at your GPA, SAT/SAT2/ACT scores, and your ECs. Regarding those, and considering the schools on your list, your just fine.

UVA - Low Reach (Out of State)
Maryland - Safety
Wake Forest - Safety
Cornell - Match
Georgetown - Match/High Match
John Hopkins - Match/High Match
PSU - Safety
BU - Safety
BC - Safety
Lehigh - Safety
Scranton - Safety
American - Safety
Fordham - Safety

Here's some other schools you might want to consider. The ones at the top of the list would be Reaches/High Matches. The ones towards the bottom, Matches.

Washington University in St. Louis
Northwestern
Wesleyan (in CT)
Carleton
Vassar
Carnegie Mellon
Tufts
Washington and Lee
Emory
Vanderbilt
Notre Dame
Bowdoin
Haverford
Macalester
Davidson
Colby
Univer. Of Southern CA
Colgate

thanks for the imput i appreciate it !!

yeah
u ahve a great shot at all of them

haha now have to just spell input right and then ill be good :) and thanks

I personally think amptron is being too generous with his chances.

I would not put Lehigh, Wake Forest and BC as safeties, but matches.
I would say UVA (OOS), Cornell, JHU, and Georgetown will be very attainable reaches, but still quite difficult.

hey dude....i dont know enough about most of these schools to tell you much...

but i live in va and i know all about uva and their admissions
i dont want to be mean but im going to say you have a very low chance of getting in at uva. it rarely accepts people out of top 10% in state. you are out of state, and it is extremely difficult to get in. my schools hisotry with uva is only top 10%

georgetown and cornell are harder to get into than uva

I wouldn't say that kissesly, when you're talking about out of state admission. UVA is on par with the ivies in that regard.

so can anyone give me like a list with match, reach, etc. such as amptron did

BU match
BC low reach
Lehigh match
Scranton safety
American match
Fordham match
UVA reach
Maryland don't know
Wake Forest low reach
Cornell reach
Georgetown reach
John Hopkins reach

can u explain y ???? or someone else opinion and an explanation?

Just a quick word here...Your SAT M+V puts you in or very, very close to the top 25% of SAT scores for all the schools on your list. For Lehigh, Wake Forest, and BC, your scores put you in the top 10% of applicants, if not the top 5%. For Cornell and JHU, you just miss the top 25%, and for Georgetown, you're just inside the top 25%. For the rest, except for UVA, your SAT scores probably put you in the top 1 or 2% of applicants. UVA is a special case - if you're out of state, you generally need top Ivy League level stats to get accepted. At any rate, I stand by my initial assesments.

By the way, when you apply, spread out (so to speak) your apps: apply to a couple of reaches, three or four matches, and a couple of safeties.
