<p>I am probably biased, and my opinions will differ from others outside of new york city, but can anyone (new york natives please!) rank these non-ivy schools in order of prestige?</p>

<p>By peer group according to reputation.
Williams is indisputably the most reputable in this group among the NYC elite. It doesn’t matter from there. There isn’t much love from the East Coast for schools in the Midwest–also, not much for the West Coast, though Berkeley would be the obvious choice over UCLA.</p>
