CMU
Berckley
Cornell
UW
UT Austin
UIUC
U Maryland
USC
UC Boulder
(I don’t know about the others. They may be stronger but not a lot)

What’s the reason for the request?

“Umich Amherst”

New campus? ;-)

Colleges like Stanford, MIT, CMU etc will be at the top.

UWash, UMaryland-CP and UMass-Amherst are also up there for CS>

CMU on top.

Beyond that, no university in the list outshines any other.

@riprorin I’m trying to narrow my college list so I’m giving them points for certain things (program strength, social life, location, class size, etc) I just wanted to see what others opinions are about the strength of these programs. And yes I meant Massachusetts Amherst not Michigan

Programs ranked in top ten:

Berkeley
CMU
UIUC
UMich
UTexas
Cornell

Are you considering cost too?

Yes I am considering cost. I can afford all of these colleges but at some/more than half I would graduate with debt. The most debt would be at a $60000 a year college (like cornell) where I can pay all but about $60000 if I pay full freight
