<p>Can you guys please rank these engineering schools that I applied, and give a reason why.</p>

<p>Here's what I think.
1. Carnegie Mellon
2. Renssealer Poly. Institute
3. Virginia Tech
4. Penn State U
5. Rochester Inst. Technology
6. Northeastern
7. SUNY Binghamton</p>

<ol>
<li>Carnegie Mellon - many famous engineers, known world-wide, known by every engineer as one of the best</li>
<li>PSU - 1 in every 50 engineers is from PSU; well-known</li>
<li>RPI/Virginia Tech/RIT - well known, ranked in the late 10s/early 20s in engineering school rankings</li>
<li>Northeastern - fairly known, fairly strong in engineering</li>
<li>SUNY Binghamton - not well known, no reputation of strong engineers/famous engineers</li>
</ol>

<p>what about UVA? does it have a strong engineering program</p>

<p>maryland is decent... VT engineering is overrated...</p>
