Rank these majors by importance/job prospects out of undergrad

If you can compile them into discrete categories, even better (ie, rank each one instead of sciences___ or liberal arts____$)

Mathematics
Physics
Literature
Sociology
Biology
Politcal Science
Business
Fine Arts/Music/Design
Chemistry
Philosophy
Engineering

It depends on a lot more factors than majors.

engineering

business
biology

chemistry
mathematics
physics
finearts/music/design
political science

sociology
literature
philosophy

check the Occupational Outlook Handbook

Importance? I’m not sure. Maybe engineering and the sciences.

For job prospects:

I would say Business and Engineering have a little advantage over the rest of the given major felds. But I always thought those who pursue a career in medicine and allied to medicine such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiologic Technology, Vet Med and the like are the most highly employable. They’re also better paid too. But I could be wrong though.

wait i dont get this..

Yea, i still kind of don’t get it.
