Northeastern, Fordham, George Washington, UCONN, Boston U, Marist, Drexel

I would think that BU and Fordham would be the best on that list...could be wrong though.

Of course, as always, it comes down to personal preference, yadda yadda.

GWU, Boston U, Uconn, Fordham, Northeastern, Drexel, Marist

GWU, BU, Fordham, UConn, Drexel, Northeastern, Marist

Its depend on the field of study.

For liberal arts, GWU and BU would be on top. For international relations, GWU would be the clear winner. For engineering and other tech fields Northeastern and Drexel would be on top. For internship opportunities Northeastern would clearly dominate the field with Drexel close behind. For Business BU and Northeastern would be on top. For health sciences, UConn, BU, and Northeastern would rule.

Drexel/Northeastern

Perhaps it should be emphasized that Drexel and Northeastern are both co-op colleges where you spend an extra year working in industry.

My ranking is the most unbiased, and believe me when I tell you that it is the most accurate. I got into all of them except bu, and made my decision for business school only after extensive research into the which program had the best quality. Sorry if it makes you upset, but the rankings are as close to perfect as you can get. I should mention that each school listed is aacsb accredited and thus a premier business program. He is my list again:

Overall:

BU, GWU, Northeastern, UConn, Fordham, Drexel, Marist.

This is based on the following factors: (1) Selectivity, (2) Academics, (3) Name Recognition, (4) Location, (5) Internship Opportunities, (6) Facilities, (7) Quality of Faculty, (8) Alumni network.

im guessing u got into northeastern....

Maxiumus, GWU is way more selective than BU. GWU accepts 38% while BU accepts 57%. Also, Northeastern has far better competetion than these other schools; when students select based on locations, if they want Boston, they go to Harvard, Tufts, Boston College, BU, and then Northeastern (generally). GWU has Georgetown and American, and Fordham has Columbia and NYU. As for name recognition, Northwestern ruins any chaance for Northeastern to be a household name. Furthermore Fordham and GWU both have better locations than BU and Northeastern in my opinion. Washington DC and New York City vs. Boston...Do you go to Northeastern or something...?

Overall, I would say...
GWU
BU
U Conn
Fordham
Northeastern
Marist

I don't know anything about Drexel...

The %-accepted number is not a good way to gauge selectivity. There are many colleges with SAT ranges in the 1200's that only accepted around 20-30% of the applicants.

which schools with SAT averages in the 1200s have such low acceptance rates?
Are they the military academies or something? Or just schools that spam everyone?

PR updated its website with new stats for these schools. Take a look:

Boston University
<a href="http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/profiles/schoolsays.asp?category=1&listing=1023900<ID=1&intbucketid=%5B/url%5D">http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/profiles/schoolsays.asp?category=1&listing=1023900<ID=1&intbucketid=

BU, GWU, and Northeastern are easily the top three schools.

Maximus....Northeastern is a very good school with many great programs. It is hard to get into mostly due to its location in Boston, and we all know tons of students want to go to school in Boston. I applied and got in there, because I felt it was a school that would provide me with a solid education. Their Co-op program is unique, but 99% of other schools don't find it necessary to build that into their program. If that is something you want then Northeastern is the perfect school for you. It is easily comparable to BU, GWU, and UConn, but believe me when I tell you that these three schools have an edge...I am a junior in college, and I still keep track of the rankings. If you go to any of the schools listed you will get a great education. The most important thing to realize is that it is what you make of your experience in college. When in college make sure you get great grades, become involved with clubs and associations, and constantly seek out the best opportunities for yourself.

Excellent points. I totally agree.

The Princeton Review's statistics are always very outdated, so I checked the BU and GWU websites. There's very little difference in the schools are far as raw statistics goes.

BU: middle 50% SAT scores: they don't give the real number. They show the university mid 50% as 1270 - 1410. But this excludes the school of general studies, which has an SAT range of 1100 something - 1200 something. 70% of the students are in the top 10% of their class.

GWU: middle 50% of all students, no exceptions, is 1260 - 1410. 65% of the students are in the top 10% of their class.

So from a statistics point of view, BU and GWU are roughly equivalent.

GWU has a higher retention rate, which we always look at.

As for the rest, I would rank them:

GWU & BU: overall equivalents. BU by far the best in fine arts, and also better in business and engineering. GWU edges out for people aiming on medicine & law. GW clearly the best for languages and politics/international relations.

UConn - 3rd in overall.

Fordham - 4th

Northeastern & Drexel: tied for 5, and aim at almost being trade schools
Marist - 7th.
