<p>Rank these schools according to their social science departments(history, political science, economics, geography). </p>

<p>I am not too familiar with Syracuse and AU. Tufts is a great university, as is Wisconsin. In terms of pure academics, I recommend Wisconsin. But if you prefer a small and intimate atmosphere, Tufts is a better choice. In terms of overall experience, both schools are excellent, but very different.</p>
<p>Syracuse has the Maxwell School of Public affairs,which is a top notch graduate program rated in the top 3 nationwide. I don't know if any of the faculty also teach undergrads though. If they do, Syracuse could be above them all in these areas. American is known for political science since they have a number of politicians and ex-politicians teaching there.</p>

<p>It would be hard to find any other school as strong in those four areas as Wisconsin.</p>
