How about you pick up a copy of US News? :)

Even faster, go to princeton review's site and check out the stats.

I'm not sure about hardest to easiest, but many students refer to U.S. News for rankings

Duke, Cornell, JHU, Claremont, Carnegie Mellon. In that order.

thanks a lot!

can anyone rank them in hardest to easiest (%s would be nice) to get into when applying ED?

"can anyone rank them in hardest to easiest (%s would be nice) to get into when applying ED?"

Do you know that ED is a binding decision? One should only EVER apply to a school ED if they are 99% sure they will attend and be able to afford the costs.

Your asking about these schools on this forum says you know very little about them. Perhaps you should spend some time on their websites and reading their literature, and logging onto their prospective students' forums. Find out why others chose to attend those schools. See if those reasons match what you're looking for at a school.

BTW, perceived college prestige should be near the bottom of your list. HTH and good luck

HTH = what?

;lojsfl;ksf;jadsfl;kjadsflfl;saflk;jf

That is all.

HTH = "hope this helps"

This also depends on whether or not we're talking about specific majors. BME acceptance at JHU is no walk in the park.

I would put
Duke
Cornell
Claremont McKenna
JHU
Carnegie Mellon
based on acceptance rates,SAT range and the % of freshmen in the top 10% of HS class and making exceptions to any specific majors that have their own applications.

hm i always thought claremont was harder than duke
