Rank these universities?

MIT is #7 on the NYT Business Leaders survey, how is it underrated? Penn is definitely underrated at #24 (#13 in US) but I think business leaders especially abroad completely disassociate Wharton from Penn and treat is as a separate entity. They might do the same for NYU and Michigan. However, I don’t believe they confused Penn with Penn State, but rather they just evaluated Penn’s placement as a general university at the undergraduate level minus Wharton just like they did for Princeton and Brown.

The NYT Business Leaders survey definitely passes the eye test with HSY on top. It’s a solid source to cite if you’re trying to talk to someone about the merits of one schools vs. another with regards to national and international business reputation. Rice and Wash U are non-players in the business world just as I figured.

@Nikitaari Agreed that Imperial=Columbia, but UPenn more known than Brown!?

I don’t want to sound rude or snobby, but i’ll turn down Columbia if i like Imperial much better…

@Nanopker, UPenn will be as well known as Brown worldwide. All these unis mentioned will be as well known as each other. End of

@Ruvermillion

You applied ED to Columbia. But, seeing as you can’t honor a simple Early Decision agreement, I suppose it’s actually better for Columbia that you don’t go there. You very clearly violated the agreement of Early Decision and very clearly had no intention of actually using the Early Decision agreement for its actual purpose. Very immature on your part, very.

Internationally, I think people view these as the most prestigious US universities:

 1. Harvard
 2. Stanford
 3. Princeton/Yale
