Ranking the 6 Colleges

I have researched about the GEs for each college but I wanted to know how are the other aspects are like. The aspects I also care about besides GEs are living conditions, location, food, social atmosphere. Can anyone give me a realistic breakdown about which colleges are the best for each one? Thanks and I really appreciate it!

Only my opinions:
Regarding social atmosphere, I don’t think there’s a big difference between colleges because freshmen are always excited and full of energy anyway.
Food in each dining hall is pretty much the same. Similar kinds of food and desserts.

Revelle - I don’t know about the new dining hall because they are renovating it this year and expected to be open next academic year. Most science classes are here, I figured. I never lived in the res hall there but this year Blake Hall is nice but not sure if they will renovate other halls soon. I personally don’t like the res.hall here (I visited my friend once).
Unless you live in the apartments or the fleets, they are pretty nice and new.
Revelle is kind of far too I suppose.

Muir - Dining hall, Pines, is always crowded. The market is so small. but they got Roots, which is a vegan restaurant which I think is nice. So far I think Muir has the best location, very close to almost everything. I think the res.hall in Muir might have new furniture this year but I am not sure though. I don’t like the layout of the res.hall but the double/triple room is pretty huge compared to Marshall. Muir has a gym and a swimming pool nearby.

Marshall - res.hall here is so small. Sorry if you have to live in a triple but to be honest, it was a bad experience especially when your roommates are messy. 10 people share 2 toilets and 2 showers. Location is okay I think. The good thing was that I never had any problem with fruit flies etc. even though my suitemates liked to leave their food on the coffee table for days. I honestly don’t like the dining hall. I don’t know why. One good thing is that it has a Burrito place, Gooddy’s, which is pretty tasty and healthy. Marshall is close to Rimac, if you like to workout.

Sixth - never been inside sixth’s res.hall before so I don’t know but they look like military camps in the woods. It can be somewhat very dark if you try to go there at night. People say sixth is far from most classes and I kind of agree, but it’s close to Price Center. There’s no real dining hall here though except Foodworx which has a really good personalized individual pizza. However, you just gotta sit outside in the sun/wind. The market there is okay.

Warren - Warren res.hall is far too. Canyon Vista, the dining hall, has a very nice view if you sit outside. There’re 2 swimming pools here, not that far from Rimac but you still have to walk. I went inside the res.hall here once, it was okay, kind of small inside like Marshall’s.

ERC - find of far actually because it’s North of Marshall. The dining hall, Cafe Ventanas, has a nice view but I notice that it has less food especially during the weekend when sometimes they only have spagetti and something else idk. Inside the res. hall everthing is arranged in a weird way I think. Like the first thing you’ll see is the bathroom which I think you share it wait 10 people or more. The common room is big. Bedrooms are okay.

Marshall - Reshall bathrooms are nice in comparison to other colleges’. The flooring is just miles better, and overall, they seem more spacious. Close to Goodies’ which is a plus if you like burritos and a decent walk in either direction to Pines or Cafe V. Rooms are about the same anywhere. Overall layout of the reshalls are horrible though. You have to use your hallway key every couple of steps … and lounges are several fleets up the stairs. It’s pretty difficult to get acquainted with other people living in the halls bc of that.

ERC - It’s on the far north … so a longggggggggg walk to a lot of classes you’ll be taking. I haven’t actually had any classes that’ve required me to walk up to ERC. The view is so nice. Everything is so new. You’re close to the Village Market, the best on campus convenience store. You’re also close to the bistro, which is the closest thing you’ll get to restaurant quality food for dining dollars on campus.

Marshall and ERC are the ones that get stuck in fog when it comes around.

Muir - Has the best dining hall. Reshalls have an awfully weird layout … but I’m jealous of the common areas. Comfy sofas and spiral staircases. There’s an actual kitchen area, which is a plus. At the very least, you won’t be cleaning your dishes in the restroom sink (and getting it clogged mid-year because of that).

Revelle - I’ve only been to Argo and don’t know how it is in Blake. Argo has nice, open layout, so it’s easy to get to know the people living in the halls. They have humongous closets. Bathrooms are pretty iffy though. Sucks when it rains though since the hall directly outside the rooms are exposed to the weather. Food is … meh. I think you’d find yourself walking to Pines a lot.

Sixth - reshalls look like cabins from a camp … they really do. The rooms aren’t that good. What’s nice is that directly outside, there’s a lounge with computer desks that are great for studying. Since Sixth reshalls are technically separated cabins, you won’t communicate with people from the other cabins much. Sixth is close to Foodworx(good pizza and salad) and the bus stops.

Warren - idk. Haven’t stepped into the reshalls.
