Ranking UCSD colleges

I'm in the processing of applying, but i'm very confused about how to rank the colleges. I looked at the ucsd website, but the information is separated by college and kind of confusing. Can anyone give me a realistic breakdown about what the different colleges are about? Thanks

Colleges have different required classes, locations, and housing.

Depends on what you want

Easy GEs:
More of a Social Environment than the others - Muir
More Peaceful & Quiet environment and your own grocery store - Warren
Late Night Food - Marshall
Look Retarded and Unlucky - Sixth

Hard GEs:
New Dorms to do your homework in - ERC
Hell on Earth - Revelle

My pick goes to Warren. The Canyons just too beautiful to pass up, and Earls really rocks.

Warren or Muir. Warren is good but it's REALLY far from EVERYTHING whereas Muir is in the middle. If you want to be in Muir you NEED to rank them #1 or else you won't get in.

Warren is about the same distance as Muir from the Price Center.

New dorms to do your homework in...LOL. Kind of diminishes the value of the dorms being new in the first place.

yeah, Warren and Muir are probably the two best ones. Muir's supposedly the least "socially dead" and Warren has a lot of engineers

Muir = OCEANSIDE view from the dorms....

Muir closest to the beach and Price Center...

Muir is the most popular college no question about it.... too many ppl applied here and all the overflow were housed in different colleges like Revelle, Warren, 6th college...

Warren = 2nd least GEs but really far from PC....
Marshall = OVT opens late night but so-so dorms
Revelle = good for science/pre-med students, hard GEs, and the oldest dorms
ERC = a lot of women, nice looking cafe and pretty dorms, 2nd hardest GEs

If you decide on Muir, then I hope you'll be happy with your Triple. That is, unless admissions cut back on admitting students this year.

Muir is the l33t college, all the other colleges are lower class.

Warren is so nerdy. Marshall is okay too.

WARREN NERDS ASSEMBLEEEEEEE!!!!

We're so annexing the rest of this college

Daniel Watts told us to.

even with a triple i think muir dorms are huge!! i love my ratesaver! (three people in the room meant for two) its larger than other colleges doubles

i really like muir
simple GEs
good sandwiches
nice people
good location
and favorite college for admissions (if you dont put muir and your first choice you probably wont get in)

sigh.. i remember filling out my applications for uc... LOL i picked the colleges on the prettiest websites
LOL
LUCKYILY MUIRS WAS NICE OTHERWISE I WOULD BE STUCK SOMEWHERE ELSE!! LOL

anyways good luck with the apps

I'm ranking them Warren, Muir, Marshall, Revele, Roosevelt, Sixth

I would rank them Warren, Muir (maybe Muir is first), Marshall, Sixth, Roosevelt, Revelle.

If you gonna rank Muir 2nd then you won't get it. Mine as well rank it last and give marshall a chance

Note that I think marshall if very unpopular. When we talk about colleges at SD it's about Muir vs warren, Revelle vs. ERC, and 6th just b/c it doesn't have a name b/c it's so far. Notice what college is missing?

so from what i'm guessing, 6th and roosevelt are pretty much the unpopular choices?

Well, 6th is called Camp Snoopy, and I don't know anything special about it. ERC has nice dorms though.

Im in sixth, and Im liking it a lot. Pretty easy Ge's, decent food, friendly people, and pretty close to price center (if u live in the sixth apartments like i do).

does revelle have apartments?
