Ranking UCSD colleges

The Matthews Apartments, which are in Sixth (I think) are for Revelle.

How's Muir's dorms?

I am so tempted to rank ERC first because of the nice dorms, but the hard GE factor kills. :(

Muir's dorms: See pictures on page 1.

Let's just say this. Even if you are in ERC, you can easily be put into another college's housing, such as Revelle's housing. This was a common situation this year.
And also, after two years, you get pretty much booted off campus.
Whereas GEs = what you need to do through your 4 (or 3 or 5 or 6) years of college.

Another way to look at the colleges (other than GEs which is probably the most important factor) is by their apartments which you'll likely be in the second year. The res halls are all fairly similar (some newer than others) but some apartments have more singles available than others. If this is important to you, you might want to factor it in. There's a reasonable chance of getting a single in the Muir apartments. Some other college's apartments have no singles available I believe. You can find the floor plans on the UCSD housing website.

WARREN NERDS ASSEMBLEEEEEEE!!!!

We're so annexing the rest of this college

Daniel Watts told us to.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

I still don't really understand the differences between each college...

Your college only determines the General Education cluster(s) you have to fulfill; Muir has the easiest set while ERC and Revelle have the most difficult.

its like in high school you have to take certain classes to graduate... like X number of years of math and X numbers of years of history... so like in muir college its like one social science sequence, one mathematical (calculus) or natural science sequence, two sequences selected from two of the following areas: fine arts, humanities, or foreign languages, and two expository writing courses ... (sequences meaning a series of classes... usually three classes which means a year...) but you can see it for yourself

GO MUIR*
=D

Muir's overrated.

^ Why is that?

(: Only to those bitter and jealous.

No, it really is overrated.
MUIR MUIR MUIR. It's like shut the **** up already, you know? There's nothing extraordinarily spectacular to this college. There's nothing special to any of the colleges, really.
People who go to Muir just take the easy way out. Lmao

No offense, Kenny, if you read this.
You know I'm cool with you.

wow. bitter.

I like how I'm the only one you disregard in your assertion, Christine. Haha.

But it is true; Muir is overrated, but that doesn't mean I love it any less.

then why do you work at erc??

My best friend from HS works there, too, and I hardly get to see her otherwise.

I dont see why muir is "overrated"..

anyways, here's my ranking: 1. muir 2. warren 3. marshall 4. sixth 5. ERC 6. Revell.
how does that look?

That would have been my choice too. Because I think Warren is really good too.
That way, if you don't get into Muir, you have Warren next on your list.

i think that's how i ranked it on the app. i got into marshall. ha. and don't base the rankings on the mission statements because that has nothing to do with the ge's. =]

muir and warren are the best...hands down. erc is where all the more social girls seem to be though..but their GEs blow.
