Ranking West Coast Schools

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could name some good west coast schools besides Stanford, and UC schools because I've already heard about them. Any one know some other good ones for premeds?

I'm not a 2400 4.0 nobel laurete, so although a few super reaches could be good, I'm looking more at something a 3.8 UW in toughest, 2000 person actually has a shot of getting into.

It all depends on where in the West Coast you want to go to school, your preference for large schools or LACs, and your ECs. Assuming that you have average ECs and that you would be OK with going to a school in Oregon, Washington, or California the following schools are reaches/matches/safeties:

USC - Match/Low Reach
U of Oregon - Safety
LACs like Reed, Lewis and Clark, Willamette, Whitman, Whitworth, Walla Walla College - Match/Low Reach
WSU and UW in Washington State - Match
Claremont Colleges in California - Low Reach/Reach

There are many more, but these are the ones that come to mind immediately.

Good luck!

Santa Clara, Pacific, Pepperdine, San Diego, Occidental, Cal Poly-SLO, "U-Dub" (Washington), the Arizonas

USC and the Claremont Schools (Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Scripps, etc) come to mind.

you seem like a good fit at USC.. take a look at USD and Pepperdine as well as Chapman if you like something small U washington if you like something Big

Gonzaga
Samta Clara

Some UCs--- prob Santa Barb
