Yeah...anyone have them?

I know that NYU is highly-ranked. Johns Hopkins MIGHT also be. US News and World Report does rankings of different graduate programs.

You shouldn't choose a Creative Writing Program based on its ranking, but rather on whom you wish to study with. You will never sell a single piece of writing based on the school's ranking.

Iowa, Stanford

University of Iowa, Middlebury (Breadloaf School), Syracuse, New School, NYU

U of Iowa, hands down.

There was a ranking a while back. #1 was the University of Iowa. Other top 5 or 6 programs included Columbia, Michigan, NYU and UVA. If you look hard, you will find it.

This might sound odd, but doesn't UC Irvine have an outstanding program?

Thanks a lot, Elizabeth. I am only an undergraduate prefrosh, guys. I was honestly just wondering, since I have been reading a lot lately about my favorite poets and wanted to know how their grad programs (if they got a masters in creative writing) are ranked (Jhumpa Lahiri went to BU and BU is #10, I now know :)) I did know that Alice McDermott teaches both undergrads and grad students at JHU...thats pretty sweet.

I am actually an engineering major, but I knew I had this saved for creative writing somewhere on my computer. Good luck.
