rankings for physics phd programs

my brother is beginning to hear back from the schools he applied to...so far he has gotten into NYU and Stanford. He applied to a bunch of school including ivies and mit/caltech.

he graduated from upenn with a double major in physics and math, and is getting his masters at cambridge this year in a similar math/physics related field.

with that being said, we are trying to figure out where some of the top schools stand. Does anyone have a link to some rankings for the top physics phd programs in the country? I'd greatly appreciate the help because I find it very hard to turn down an acceptance into stanford, but i'm not sure where they are in the rankings compared to harvard, mit, columbia which are his top choices.

thanks!

What is your brother interested in? Oftentimes, lesser-known schools have excellent programs in specific areas.

he’s interested in quantum physics and applied mathematics…I think hah.
