Rankings

I have a question regarding the non-binding schools. Let's say these were to be my rankings:

Stanford

Yale

Princeton

USC

Now, let's say I get matched to all 4, and considering the top 3 schools on my list are non-binding, and USC is, would I basically have the freedom to choose which school to enroll in?

Also, let's say I were to qualify as a finalist, but I don't get matched....I can apply to whatever school I want, right?

I highly doubt you’ll get matched to all 4. I don’t think it’s possible.

If you get matched to Yale, Princeton, or Stanford, you could say no even if they provided full scholarship.

If you get matched to USC, you cannot say no. You have to attend.

If you were to qualify as a finalist, but are not matched, then you can apply to those 4 schools, as well as any other schools you’re interested in, through regular decision.

If you get matched by all 4, you’d only hear from Stanford so you won’t get the chance to choose. Its not really the college than tells you directly if you are accepted or denied, its QB.

Yeah, the ''getting matched to all 4" was just an extreme hypothetical example.

You would only get matched with one school, and that would be the school you put highest on your list. If you are not sure which school you would want to go to, then you are better off applying through regular decision instead.
