I've never been so p!ssed in my life. I got a really poor grade on a Calc exam but I understood all the concepts. I made so many careless mistakes and points were taken off on technicalities. I've never made so many careless mistakes on a test in my life. What's frustrating is that I understood the material well but somehow, I had this blindspot during test day that prevented me from catching any of the mistakes I made. I have to average 97+ on the next two tests to recover from this since we don't have that many grades per quarter. I'm glad that the midterm is this quarter so at least there's the opportunity for improvement (or further failure). ARGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

My art history teacher made me take a test when I hadn't been there the previous two days, and I didn't even know the test was that day. I got a 54%.

Cherrybarry: "one swallow doesn't make a summer." You'll be fine!!!!

I've been doing the same thing this quarter in calc, too...I had over a hundred first nine weeks, but now I have a high C because I didn't understand derivatives at first. Fortunately, I figured out the concept and now my grade's going up, but it still looks pretty bad right now.

My parents are going to flip because we get progress reports next week. :|

Progress reports for us next week...and I'm doing terrible

B- in Spanish 4- we did a culture unit for 5-6 weeks. I did horrible, I rock at the langauge, but when it comes to culture I do horrible. Luckily, we've started back into the actual langauge

B- in pre-calc- I have struggled with the tests a lot. I've gotten C's on them all. It's not that I don't understand it, but I don't ask enough questions so I'm left pretty clueless when I don't ask

Chemistry B- Basically my entire class got B's or lower on this test, there were 2 A's, 2 B's, and the rest C's, D's and F's. I got an 82 (4th highest grade out of 20-25) And we haven't had any other tests.

Ap Bio C+/B- I got a D on a test because I had to work all weekend, and they gave me terrible hours, so I went in barely studying. It was bad. Than I got 19/25 and 23/30 0n my lab reports. It's not that I don't understand the concepts, it's just been a rough nine weeks.

Celebrian, where do you live in Ohio?

I go to the University of Akron full-time and I'm taking Calc this semester. The class average on the tests is terrible: 61. I think he grades on the curve, so that will help some people out. Even though I haven't missed too many points myself (3 exams so far: 96 average), so it won't be a big curve, but it helps a lot of people out. The problem I find is that he asks the class if they have any questions, but they all just stare dumbfounded at the board. We're integrating now so they better start understanding the material...or else. Just make sure you ask questions if you don't understand the material!!!!

I made a 67 due to careless mistakes, though I knew the calc concepts as well.

Now I await my new test grade to come in which the class made a 71 average on. I skipped class Monday, so I'll have to wait until next week for my test.

I live in Columbus, but my sister attends BGSU so I've been to Akron itself and the university many times

Yeah, it's definitely an interesting place. Let's just say I'm glad I'm not going here for undergrad.

hehe I can understand that. What year are you in there?

I've been going here for the past two years. But I'm a senior now. I thought I would be one of the younger ones there, but one of the girls is 16!

Thankfully there are only 2 weeks left of instruction then exams. Then a month off for Christmas. Ahhhhh.

spites you Two tiny weeks off for christmas for me

Oh my.

I left for two days, came back to a physics test and got a 69. The next day we had a quarter final, and since I still hadn't had a chance to find out what I had missed, I got a 77 on that. Dropped my grade from a high 90 to an 86. Wouldn't have been so mad, but these are some of the last grades colleges are going to see, and it irks me that they aren't better.

wow...i just realized that the last time i got an 86 (ok...it's bad for me) on a math test was back in 7th grade, although i'm not completely sure. if not 7th grade, then probably 3rd grade. worst nightmare has come true... my neurons are failing me!!!

i was perfectly prepared for this test and somehow, i failed. i hate it when you expect to do so well and then get slapped in the face with a bad grade
