Rap club

So I'm interested in founding a rap club but IDK what to do there every week.
Anyone know what activity we can do for the rap club year-round?

Sing metal/hard rock songs?

(Or you could try rapping? [free-sessioning])

listen to music? see if anybody has the guts to try for themselves?

I can’t wait to hear other ideas. This sounds like it has the potential to be very funny.

yeah… cuz I don’t want to meet every week and just rap. I think we should do some more besides rapping so that it would be called a good EC

How about, every day someone comes up with a new word based on their feelings from the day before or w/e. And then at the end of the year, you guys get together and come up with a rap using EVERY word used throughout the year.

How about a poetry slam? It’s not quite rap, though. You could choose a theme each week, every 2 weeks, month, whatever… then have the people write about it then perform it in the next meeting. You could make it into a competition and ask teachers and students to be judges.

My school does this and it’s really successful. They meet up once a month. At first the club had around 10 people, now at some meetings there are 50 (not all performers, but an audience). Some performers bring music and kind of rap along to it.

Or you could use a theme, write thymes about it, and compete once a week/month? Pick on ongoing event (politcal, nat’l disaster, crime, etc) and rap about it. I write rhymes that way, it’s pretty fun. Or you could write an angry song about how a teacher gave you a 99 instead of a 100 on a paper (just like everybody on CC lol :D)

^^ Nice idea, Jadore.

Just non-stop rap battles or diss tracks. We already do this at my school but its not an official club. Huge turnout though to see the talent.

yo yo yo afraidtoapply
you so small just like a fly
i am ballin and stylin on you
while youse a crazy foo

yeaaaa represeentttttt

Here’s a nice little rhyme a wrote in 1.5 minutes in response to cs12345’s post lol:

I’m illy I’m illy I’m illy
My lines so stupid dat dey be silly
I rock so hard like a championship filly
I consummate my business, be closing the dealings
Listen to my beats & it’d hurt your feelings
My potential? Dat be through da ceiling
Yo, my peeps, listen to my rhymes; I be wheeling
This is why, dis is why, I’m so illy illy illy.

Lol, I wrote this amongst friends because I thought that it would be funny  What does the world of CC think?

Please, god, make it stop…

Lol, it was meant to be what Lil’ Wayne would write if he wasn’t high while writing. If this rap was meant to be “good,” then you could officially call rap/hip hop over. Then again, Soulja Boy is famous…

Overall, this rap was a joke to be laughed at. Taking that into account, did you find it funny in a bad way (if that makes sense)?

Lil Wayne wouldn’t know what ‘consummate’ meant even if he had a dictionary.

Sorry I made a mistake when I wrote a rhyme in 90 seconds that was to mock the excessive drug abuse and lyrical faults of a highly succesful commercial rapper. My dearest apologies.

I thought ll wayne was some kind of short basketball player…
yeah but you know we can’t diss each other in school. Teachers will diss us first
