Rate Junior Schedule?

Hey! I’m a rising Junior and my schedule’s just been confirmed.

AP Spanish Lang
AP Calculus AB
AP Computer Science Principles
AP English Language and Composition
AP United States History
AP Chemistry
Physical Education 2: Elective Weightlifting

If nothing else, taking this many APs might teach you some humility.

Might teach me some humility?

What does that mean?

Not worth it dude… I took 5 last year and got mostly 4s and 5s… But frankly taking a couple more aps than your peers in a year cost you a LOT OF TIME. Time that could be used to found a new club, hangout, keep your sanity.
I took 5 but I wouldn’t recommend it, let alone 6

“What does that mean?”

If you stick with this schedule, then a year from now I think that you will probably understand what I mean.

There is a limit to what any one person can do in a given period of time. Pushing yourself past this limit is not a good idea.

I’m honestly suprised nobody is praising you for taking all these APs. Typically college confidential is filled with AP worshippers. I do agree that it’s better to take 4 AP classes and get all 5s, as suppose to taking 6 of them and only getting 3s on each. Perhaps you can take the easier ones online. For example, some people find social science and humanities courses to be easier, so they just take the class online for the easy A, and then basically self study for the actual AP test before May.

Well you can’t take out spanish or calc. AP chem seems like a good choice provided you’ve taken honors levels of physics, chem and bio. If not, take the science class you haven’t taken at an honors level. If you have honors ush, I’d take that because AP Histories are a lot of reading. I’d keep AP Lang because it’s a useful class for anyone. Finally, I’d replace computer science with a study hall or free period unless you actually are interested in computer science.

If you want a frame of reference, I took AP Psych, Spanish, AP Comp Sci Principles, AP Calc AB, APUSH, Orchestra, and AP Physics 1. While it definitely kept me occupied, I never felt like I was drowning

Have you taken honors Chem as well as either AP physics 1 or honors Physics?
Can you take us history honors instead of APSUH?
this is too many AP’s.
Keep in mind that top colleges only expect 6-8 TOTAL.
