Hi, I wasn't sure if I should put this in the chances forum or here, but I thought here would be better since I'm from Nova Scotia. I'm new to this, so if I forget anything please tell me!
CHance me for:
McGill
Dalhousie
Queens
Waterloo
UBC
Unweighted GPA is 4.11.
I haven't taken the SAT's because I don't plan to go to the US, but I have done many practice tests and I generally get around 2250-highest on writing and math.
My school doesn't offer AP's

I am only in grade 11. I plan to maintain all my extra curriculars next year along with adding some higher level positions in the clubs/teams. I have also applied to Shad Valley for July this year, haven't heard back yet!! I feel fairly confident, however.
I qualify for a lot of bursaries. My school doesnt do class ranking, but I'm in at least the top 10%. My school is well, ghetto for lack of a better word.
Again I apologize if I forgot anything, just let me know :)
Thanks!

Hi!

In Canada, Grade 12 grades matter the most. If you are applying ED, your Grade 11 grades will also count. Depending on the program, ECs might not even be a factor.

I am wondering what your GPA is out of, if you can get an unweighted GPA of over 4.0. If you have an average % of ~92+ you will have no problems getting into those universities. If you are borderline, I would recommend taking the SAT. A score of 2250 would nearly ensure your acceptance.

Good luck!

Hm, maybe I messed up the GPA then! I was using a GPA calculator online, because my school doesn’t do them.

Wait…aren’t you from Canada? Why do you need to take the SAT?

Yes, I’m from NS:)
I don’t need to take the SAT, no, I’ve just seen people post scores in their chances thread so I thought people might ask. I do practice a lot though, I have a few SAT practice test books just because they’re fun! I’m kind of a nerd

Taking the SAT for fun? haha bravo.
Well, if your percentage avg is well above their suggested avg (found on their websites), you’ll get in, since your have great activities to accompany the mark. BTW, I do JA too, how do you find it? ;)

oh awesome thanks! my average is around 95, what kind of scholarships do you think I would get? Oh I LOVE JA. I was vp admin last year, and i won the vp admin of the year award. im president this year and i have a more focused c ompany, its great  You?

95+ can basically get you all the scholarships you need lool. But then again, I never really looked into scholarships yet…and JA is cool! I’m pres now (my first year) and am really just trying to learn everything. My mentors are super awesome I love it :D.

Oh that’s sweet! What are you guys selling?

gift boxes lol ><. you?

Oh coool!! We’re doing bath bombs :)
