Thanks again.

uhm, well, your stats are incredible, valedictorian, sats...there all there
just write incredible essays and be sure to get recs from teachers who love you and i dont see a college there that you aren't a match for

ps-can u chance mine-mines kinda lacking attention

is my app competitive enough for these schools?

bump,.....

did you participate in any school events? school sports?
I heard those help. I didn't notice those on your list

I'd say that the Caltech is a low to medium reach (if that makes any sense) while Columbia is a low reach. I wonder how prestigious the "state" math contest is that you listed. Dartmouth and Cornell seem to be decent matches while the remaining are matches.

thanks for posting, aznpride, what kind of school events do you mean? i did not participate in school sports though, how much does that hurt my chances? the math contests r state and regional math league competitions.

i disagree with the above posters. this is 2007, not 1977. college admission is much more competitive today. for top schools, i see good rank, average SAT, and generic, boring ECs (half the people on this board made AIME. it's not THAT special). i also see no leadership.

reject by HYPSMCCD, UCB, and UCLA. in at the rest

overall, you are aiming way too high. apply to those schools, and you'll be receiving tons of rejection letters come april

firefox, would u suggest some schools i can be aiming for?

sure. you want to look at perhaps u chicago, tufts, georgetown, and top LACs such as williams, amherst, and swarthmore

as of now, your list is too unbalanced toward high reaches

firefox, i think you're too harsh
