<p>I know I'm not the strongest candidate, but I'm hoping my life experience and grades will get me in...</p>
<p>Applying for the school of agriculture and life sciences, specifically majoring in applied economics and management </p>
<p>Since I live in a border town located in southern california, I was able to go to school in mexico. I went to school from kindergarten through 8th grade in Mexico, so I became fluent in spanish. While I was in Mexico, I was always top 5 in my class and played sports down there too.</p>
<p>My first year going to school in the United States was freshman year in high school.</p>
<p>Up to now, my high school gpa is 4.56 weighted and 3.93 unweighted. I have taken every honors class and AP class that my school has to offer, and have passed every AP test that i've taken. My SAT score is 1940, but I'm taking it again in December. On the subject tests I got a 750 in Spanish and a 660 in US History.</p>
<p>During high school I have participated in basketball for my four years, and was the co-founder of the first boys volleyball team in my city. I am also a lawyer in mock trial and secretary of the hispanic literature club (ironic because i'm white). I have participated in 3 spanish plays, where i have had to sing in 2. I am an editor of my school's newspaper and am also on the Associate Student Body as school spirit. I was also the vice president of the youth group at my school my sophomore year.</p>
<p>I also have worked out at my fathers farm every summer while i was in high school, where i got to learn the basics of what farming really entailed.</p>
