Can someone give me some feedback on my EC’s? I’m a senior for the class of ‘22 right now, so I can’t change anything too drastically at this point. I’m just curious about what an AO would potentially think about the EC’s I have so far.
-
10th-12th: Co-founder and CTO of an organization called Skill Surge. The organization was founded after 2 friends and I realized that students everywhere were suffering from the inability to socially interact with their friends and fellow classmates and were struggling in school due to the foreign nature of online school). So far (in a little under 2 years), the initiative has helped over 1200 people find the social interaction they need to be happy and succeed during online school.
-
11th-12th: Creator and lead developer of a study application that provides free and comprehensive tools for students and non-students alike to stay more organized and be more productive. The application has been used by over a thousand people so far (it’s existed for under a year).
-
9-12th: Self taught in programming languages C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Java, and Python; in non-programming languages HTML and CSS; and Computer Science concepts such as graph theory and machine learning. I have made over 30 smaller projects and about 4 bigger applications and websites with my knowledge.
-
11-12th: Programming Freelancer. Made 3 websites, 2 node applications, and several smaller works. I freelance because I believe that my work will help my clients to one day make a positive change in the world.
Start of my smaller ECs:
-
10th grade: Published a video game with my game development club.
-
10th-12th grade: Member of my school’s game development club. Contributed the most to the programming of 3 games.
-
10th-12th grade: Member of my school’s Computer Science club (really more of a competitive programming club). Active member who participated in all the programming events and competitions and regularly reviewed or helped review past competition problems.
NOTE: my school doesn’t have club rankings: it’s either the leader or a member. However, I think my contributions to both clubs are significant enough to warrant a ranking higher than member.
