plz truthfully give me ur opinions, explain ur choices if possible
is UPENN really worth applying to?
which schools gives a good amount of merit aid? need-based aid?

if anyone went to any of these colleges, tell me somthing good or bad about them

I don't know very much about the UC system, but you defintely need a safety school or two. And unless you have some huge hook, you probably won't make it into UPenn or Cornell. You definitely need some more realistic matches and safeties.

yea i agree - your gpa is pretty high but ivy league schools look for a ridiculous amount of extra curriculars i.e. something that sets you apart, and honestly you dont have that - penn is a a possibility if you apply early, go for it

I'm a bit surprised with your choice of UC's, what's your major?
UCSD, UCD, UCSC use formulas ... I think they are matches with
what you have. Just add up and see.
4300 GPA
2600 (0.8*(1900+1370)
700 Points for a-g, service hours, EC's?
7600 TOTAL
UCSC is safety. Perhaps even UCD, UCSB, UCI.

Sonic, you need to study the UC admissions site. It has the details on how the UC's compute your GPA for admissions and test score requirements. Keep in mind that the forumla does NOT tell you anything about your chances, it only tells you if you meet the minimum for consideration. While you are at the site below, read very carefully about the comprehensive review process, which I already mentioned to you in another thread.
