English: Normal/Slightly harder than normal
Math: Overall normal, but lacked the usually 1-2 really tricky questions.
Reading: Slightly easier than usual.
Science: More difficult than usual, required techinical knowledge twice (metamorphasis + PE), as well as knowledge of Chemistry, Electric Charge.... Gah

English was pretty easy but what were all those stupid questions testing that said “which would not be acceptable”? On one i remember I put whiff but I wasn’t sure on any of those.

Math - I agree that there were not any really hard ones but there was definitely room for careless mistakes on a lot of the answers it seemed…

Reading always is the worst for me, but i thought science was pretty easy this time!

Everything went alright for me, although the ending of my science did ask for knowledge on some chemical compounds, which got me stumped for a while. The math I’m not quite sure about, since I forgot my calculator. Again. :P

English-Easy apart from 2 or 3 weird ones
Math-Same as English
Reading-About average
Science-Really easy apart from 3 questions (not sure why everyone is saying REALLY hard)

science - easier
math - average
english - harder slightly
reading - harder, i ran out of time for some reason, never happens to me in the reading section

English- quite easy
Math- very easy
Reading- okay
Science- on the harder side.

It was my first time taking it, and after all that rigorous SAT prep and no ACT prep, I found the math and english comparatively easier and the reading quite similar. Science just threw me off at the end (ran out of time with 4 questions remaining. Gah!).

wow my view was MUCH different than all of yours.

English- pretty standard, nothing too difficult

Math- harder than normal, some questions were tricky and required a lot of time

Reading- more straightforward than normal, questions were pretty easy to answer. timing is always an issue in this section for me though.

Science- by far the easiest group of science sections i have ever encountered. nothing was hard to understand, just required a little bit of outside knowledge.

Elephant I agree with you 100% nothing in Science besides the last question was conceptually challenging however it seemed that the ACT was really testing prior knowledge (potential, chemical, ph, metamorph, etc)

@ LMU, didn’t you take the Sept 12 as well? I did Sept 12 and this one and I feel that Sept 12th was the hardest I’ve ever seen (although it must’ve come with a generous curve cause I got a 31 but could’ve sworn I missed at least 10 last time) and I blew through this one…matter of opinion I suppose

Well, this was the first time I’ve taken the ACT, but I thought that the science was relatively easy, but I guess it’s easier for me since I take physics, biology, and chemistry =/

English: Very Easy. So easy I was able to pray between the English and Math tests
Math: No log questions thank goodness, but it was roughly the same as before.
Reading: Took me longer than last time, but still relatively easy.
Science: I love science, but a lot of the questions were either really concrete or really abstract. There wasn’t really a middle ground.
Writing: I LOVED the writing essay. Very nice. Not sure if I did well though, I only had time for a 4 paragraph essay.

Overall: As long you were calm, and didn’t panic, I consider it to be a pretty much average ACT test.
