Is this rigorous enough for Ivys and private schools?
Junior year:
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
AP English Language
AP US history
AP Calculus AB
SAT Prep
Bio-med techniques

I'm hoping to get into Upenn or Columbia...

The best way to answer the question (at least how every college seems to answer the question), is yes if it is the most rigorous schedule available to you, no if it is not. That being said you are taking five APs as a junior, it is plenty rigorous.

Is AP Calculus BC available for juniors? If so, you should take that instead of AP Calculus AB. Other than that, your schedule looks good.

Seems pretty rigorous to me, but it also depends on the courses offered at your school (are those the most rigorous courses available?)

Just because a school is private doesn’t mean it’s selective or any good.
But yeah, your schedule looks fine.

@masterball- i don’t know how what more rigorous courses exist. Ivies aren’t just looking like “omg, that person had only 3 APs- not considered!”. I wouldn’t recommend that schedule to anyone because no matter how smart you are, you cannot do well and get 4s and 5s on all of the tests without not having an actual life.

It definitely seems rigorous enough, but then again it depends on your school and the teacher you have. For me it seems almost too rigorous
i know someone in my school who is a certified genius and he’s taking 6 AP courses and he’s doing extremely well in them.

My advice would be to make sure that it won’t get too overwhelming because if you end up taking all these weighted courses but get lower scores in them it really ruins the point.

But in the end it is your decision! :)
