Do you guys know any other sites that are similar to ratemyprofessors.com? I feel like ratemyprofessors isn't that good of a website and I was just wondering if anyone has found any websites that are better than it.

www.pickaprof.com

thats what we use at my school. it's a pay service but worth it (not too expensive)

I find that sometimes the comments on ratemyprofessor.com are more helpful than those on pickaprof.com, so I use both websites. On pickaprof.com, it gives you the percentage of students making A's, B's, C's, D's, and F's in a particular class taught by a particular professor. I was annoyed when pickaprof started to charge students $5 to use the service, (when I entered college in Fall 2004, it was free), but it is the best $5 I have ever spend.

Is there a listing of which schools pick a prof applies to? I don't want to spend money to find that my school is not covered.

I know that it doesn't have information on Rice University. I think when you go to sign up, it has a drop down list to choose your school and if your school doesn't show up then they don't have that school on file.

My school has it's own website, and I think a lot of schools probably have their own too.

On the Login menu there is a list of schools. It is pretty limited if you are not attending a large school or in certain states/areas.

my school also has its own website, but ratemyprofessor is used as well. Not sure if the school website one is tied to your userID, I know you have to be logged in to post.

I like RateMyProfessor.com....its pretty on point, its free to post and read a lot of the reviews, though i think you have to pay like $5 or something to have special features...I dunno, I ain't paying anything....but its ok. You can even add profs that were not there before.

can someone post what is different (besides the fact that RMP is free and PAP is not) between RMP and Pick a Prof?

Pick a prof tells you how many people received A's, B's, C's, D's in that course, and it specifically tells you how many people received A's, B's,C's, D's, F's from a particular professor. It tells you what percentage of students dropped the class. It tells you the average GPA of a particular course, taught by a particular professor. Overall, pickaprof is better because it gives you more of an idea of how a particular teacher grades but ratemyprofessor.com is also good too.
