On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst), how would you rate the kids at wake forest on:
1 - physical appearance
2 - personality

1 - 1
2 - 1
They're filthy cavemen who communicate with inaudible grunts.

CitricAcid must be a Dookie...he must be confused with the students from the tarnished school in Durham.

My son is going to Wake and we've visited several times. I'd say appearance there is slightly better than most campuses visited. Personalities - slightly over 50% are southerners...known for their friendly personalities. Quite a few from NY/NJ who "decompress" after a few months. Rest from all over U.S. and world.

haha nothin wrong with "dookies"

...The two schools I'm deciding between are Wake and Duke! Even though I know being a Duke fan would be hard at Wake... haha

DrumNDukie,
It can be worked out! My son is at Wake, didn't want to attend Duke---but loves Duke basketball (lol)

mkm, how does your son like wake? im trying to decide lol

He had a little trouble adjusting at first, but by 2nd semester had found his niche (and got new roommate). He really likes it. Biggest pluses I hear from him are the profs are great and are willing to spend alot of one on one time "just talking with you". He loves the smaller class sizes. Has had the unfortunate need for student health in an emergency and that went well. The gym must be nice and available as he "works out" most nights. He also enjoys pick up games of football, basketball etc that seem to be going on all the time. All that said, work load has been hard and he has gotten to know library very well. He was also able to do research with a chem prof as a freshman which was pretty neat. Feel free to pm me if you have other questions.

mkm, i tried to PM you but i cant cuz it said that you have too much on your inbox lol, anyways here was my message:

i was just wondering, how are the dorms and stuff? is it noisy? are the walls made out of thin cardboard or are they cement? How about the food? and how hard is the workload, like on average, how much does he study? thanks!!

mojojojo where else are you considering? trying to decide on wake or not as well
