So yesterday at night I nearly had a panic attack! I saw a rat cross my alley. I was in the car and made my sister drop me off at the front of the house rather than park in the garage. Rats are my BIGGEST phobia!

Then... I thought about Columbia... in NYC!!!

Will I manage it??? Are they really everywhere as everyone claims???

HELP! Lol.

BTW, I did consider this before applying ED! Lol. Of course, I am still attending. I am just curious.

There are rats on the subway tracks. Don’t look down there and you’ll be good. Otherwise, no, there are no rats just like running around on the street in NYC. Especially not at Columbia – the campus is very clean and well-kept! Don’t worry too much about it :)

Lol! Thanks! I guess I will have to embrace them anyway… They will be my new family. Haha! ;)

there are some rats on the UWS, just don’t go into any parks after dark and avoid the bushes near the 72nd st. 1/2/3 station (I usually have to move quickly past some rats whenever I’m down there late at night). the only things you have to worry about at Columbia are mice if you don’t keep your kitchen clean and live on one of the lower floors.
