Raw score in math was 52 (-1 MC, -1 grid) and I got 740?!?!??!

Only on college confidential…

Hey fignewton, could you tell me which months are the QAS months?

Thanks

^See here.

I got the same thing on the US test.

that’s quite odd. I missed 2 and got a 760.

No, it would still be the same.

-1, 1 omit –> 54 - 1.25 - 1 = 51.75 (rounds to 52)
-2 –> 54 - 1.25 - 1.25 = 51.5 (still rounds to 52)

So both of those have a raw score of 52, which ended up being a 760 on the June exam.

1 really stupid mistake (Easy) got me a 770. I’m international. Quite harsh curve, isn’t it.

I got 2 wrong and received a 740, but a 51.50 raw score or whatever is higher than 750 at least. Should I talk to the college board about it?

No. Curves are predetermined for the SAT tests. For example, I got one wrong on the math and scored a 770- even though my raw score of 52.75 would usually garner a 790, because the difficulty of the test was judged as being easy, I got 20 points less.

I’m assuming you took the January SAT. It had a brutal math/reading curve.
