Rawlings Hall

Can anyone give me some personal information and opinions on rawlings hall? I was accepted to UF and im not sure where to stay on campus and the only reason ive chosen rawlings is because all of my family who has gone to uf has gone there. i wanna know whether its a good place to be social, how are the rooms, do the bathrooms really suck, and is it a good location on campus?

I sent you a PM about the dorms in the Rawlings area (gossip as opposed to researched facts so will not post here). What I can say from personal knowledge is that Rawling is practically identical (room size, age of dorm, bathroom situation, location) to Broward and Mallory, Yulee and Reid. They are all very close to where many kids take the Freshman classes and near the Broward Dining, "Broward Beach", and pool. This area is noted to be extremely social...great for freshman to meet and establish friendships. Rooms are a decent size for a double but cramped if you get stuck in a triple. Bathrooms do "really suck" but are adequate and all part of the freshman experience at UF. I have heard that there may be some differences in the layout of the bathroom in the Broward/Mallory area halls but essentially each has 3 shower stalls, a tub/shower (for handicap/disabled which I hear is never used), and 2 or 3 stalls and a row of sinks. The location on campus, for most freshman, is great.
