RC, Honors, a little confused?

I'm a little confused about where to apply. I should be really safe to get into U of M. If accepted, I would like to be in the Honors Program. I have heard conflicting reports as to whether an additional essay is required for applying to the Honors Program or you apply normally and everyone is considered for Honors and U of M takes the best applicants. I can't find anywhere on the online app for applying to honors or writing any sort of extra essay.

I'm also a little unsure about the RC. Is it more prestigious than the reg LS&A. I'm applying to LS&A but I don't think I really want a small, writing intense liberal arts education- just not my thing. Should I then not apply RC? Although I've glanced at the RC website I'm still a little unsure about what it really is. If I got into the RC and Honors, would I be able to drop RC and stay in Honors housing and stuff?

Thanks for any help or any answers to any of the questions I posed. I feel so stupid living in A2 and not knowing any of this about U of M.

i didn't do the essay and was accepted

but overall, honors is really pointless
i highly recommend you not do it

or if you do it, at least skip honors housing

and the rc isn't more reputable than regular lsa

where in the app is the essay/what is the essay?

skip honors housing? i thought housing was the biggest incentive for honors..

i don't think it's worth it

the people in my hall are .. antisocial.

South Quad? Anti-Social?

My floor is up till 3 AM in the morning. I can't get them to be quiet if I wanted to.

really?

well

i guess it's just the kids around me, then

Understandably, I've heard a few floors were quiet, but my floor is always awake.
