Alright I'll admit--I've jumped into the scheduling mania bandwagon!
I was wondering:
is it better to take RC requirements asap?
or better to take it later?
I need an R&C B class..I ran through the L&S search and only found comp literature, rhetoric, and asian/south asian/slavic studies. I was planning to take Rhetoric but heard it was hard..I'm 90% sure I'm going to take Math 1b and physics 7a so I'd rather have another easy class so I'm not overwhelmed my first semester.
So should I just take rhetoric or should I take another elective instead and wait for second semester for my RC?
Also, does standing affect which RC classes I get? I'd rather get a foreign-language based RC.

Since you only have the B left, don't worry about rushing it. I say take it in the spring since there will be more B classes (fall has more part As).

Standing does not matter (though people with higher standing have earlier telebears appointments and get to choose classes earlier so that could have an effect).

Just wait. There's no rush.

math 1a, phys 7a, R&C B. do you have a fourth class? if not, taking R&C would not be a problem, though there is no rush at all. if so, still R&C would not be a problem, as it really can be considered an easier class, especially compared to technicals.

thanks guys! I'm taking math 1b, physics 7a, and environmental design 1, so I think I'll just wait until next semester

take four classes. 13 units first semester turns you into weak sauce.
L&S R44 is 5 units. It can be used for either half of the R&C requirement and it meets a breadth requirement.
