i know. :( my parents are raving mad, they're calling tomorrow to figure it out. i've heard that they've made a lot of mistakes. i'm trying to go out of state anyway, so it's a little easier.

Is it possible that your essays related your dislike of UF? I noticed on your other posts that you dislike UF and do not want to go there. My D's guidance counselor warned us of this...my D did not want to go to UF back in September when she applied. The GC told us to make absolutely certain that her application to UF would convince the Adcom that UF was her first choice school (put a lot of time into the essays) because UF is famous for rejecting/deferring those that they feel do not want them. She did and boy, now 6 months later, UF is her first choice she is very very glad that she listened to the GC!

out of state is harder to get into than in-state. florida only has only 5% OOS students, and most of them are probably National merit scholars. it also can depend on what state you're from. applying from wyoming and new york is much different. oh well, dunno what to tell ya. least you only got deferred :P you'll probably find out you got in during march!
