RD 2015 Admissions Info...:D

I think international decisions are FedExed, so it doesn’t take too long.

Mail from America to me takes 3 weeks. By the time I receive my Carleton decision on regular mail, it’ll probably be too late to make a reply lol xD So I guess they’ve figured it all out and we will be getting e-mail as well. Although I’d love to know my decisions from at least one college through regular mail though, rather than opening e-mails, it’s much more classy and exciting :D

The international decisions haven’t been emailed in the last couple of years – they just use express mail, so you should get the decision on time, and you can use email for a preliminary reply, to make sure that they have you down as attending. You could then fax/mail your response.

The blog entry has a follow-up comment dated 19 March and the admissions office blogger said he was going to find out if international applicants are going to get an e-mail. So check back there to find out from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

Does anyone know if Carleton sends financial aid info with acceptance letters?

If all required forms were received in time the financial aid award will be included in the acceptance package.

Oh, that’s a welcome change!

Almost time! [Carleton College: Admissions: Admissions Office Blog: The Waiting Game](http://apps.carleton.edu/admissions/office_blog/?story_id=719462)

Honestly. This is so tantalizing. I thought it would have come today. Now for today. Productivity levels for me have dropped to near zero.

My Fedex application tracking says that the package weighs 0.5 kgs. Does anyone know if that means accepted or rejected??

.5 kgs (1.1 pounds) would be a very heavy rejection letter so I’m going out on a limb and saying it is good news.

suhast, I like those sleuthing skills! lol

How did you find your tracking number?

Do just international students have a fedex tracking number?

Lol thanks Youdon’tsay! @ Sara12 and Kimathi: I received a mail from Fedex saying that a tracking update for my package was requested by a member of the admissions committee. If you guys didn’t receive any mail about this then I’m guessing its just for international students.

Carleton has said in their admissions blog that they send their acceptances by USPS, so the FedEx packages are surely just for international students.

Good luck, everyone! I think some of you might be finding out TODAY!

hey suhast, may i know when did you receive the email from Fedex?

Well I am an international student so does this mean my package has not been sent yet? :(

Either that…or you’re getting a FedEx letter and it’s not being tracked. Gulp. Maybe international applicants who didn’t get an e-mail from FedEx just learned their fate. Then again, maybe they didn’t…but I strongly doubt that the applicants who got a FedEx e-mail are about to receive rejection letters and the fact that some applicants didn’t get a FedEx e-mail only reinforces that hunch.

I just received my FedEx e-mail a few minutes ago, so don’t dispair if you’re an international still waiting!

There’ probably a lot more (paper)work with the FedEx’ed packages, so it’ll take them a while to get them all sent.
