RD 2019

Anyone know the exact date of regular decision. . . decisions? Lol

Pretty sure March 25th.

Portal has changed…when you go to check admission status, everything is gone except a little message that reads something like, “at this late date, all information has been obtained…update closer to decision date will be sent via email”. . . . gulp!!

Can’t wait

Still no date of decision on portal…people saying March 25th, based on last year, I suppose?

I have March 25th at 5pm posted on my calendar…I’m not sure where I got it from though.

I got an e-mail that it is indeed on March 25 around close of business time.

Just got an email that it is March 25 close of business

Same thing here. March 25 at close of business

I checked the portal for the first time today (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/vassar-college/1753688-i-didnt-check-my-application-status-page-until-today-oops.html#latest ) and I saw that but I figured it was there because i had only just used the portal- 1st time been on it since vassar didnt email me the link and i wasnt sure there was one

What time do we think “close of business” is?

Most of the admissions offices I’ve called in the past few months have closed at 5pm (in whatever time zone they’re in). I’m in central time zone so I’m gonna expect to hear back at around 4pm my time, since Vassar is one hour ahead of me. Just a guess though!

@jomarch‌ That’s around what I was thinking!

Oh got ours at 5 for ED so probably around then

I have a question. I applied Regular Decision and on my Common Application, I wrote that I visited Vassar in September 2012. However, after submitting the application, I realized that it was an unofficial visit (I didn’t sign up online or anything, I was visiting my friend at Marist and my family and I just decided to stroll through Vassar and check out Thompson Memorial and the campus). Will this count against me in any way? I mentioned part of this unofficial visit in one of my supplements as well.

When DS visited a few years ago they never asked him to sign in, and he never interviewed. Like you, he did mention his visit in his supplement. Things might have changed since then, but he was admitted. Oh, and I seem to remember reading that Vassar posted RD results a couple of hours early last year (in case anyone wants to start pounding the college’s servers before 5).

Wishing everyone good luck! I, myself, am really nervous to open my decision on Wednesday.

I’m so nervous as well. I think it could go either way for me, but I’m expecting a rejection more than an acceptance.

Vassar adcom e-mailed me just now and said they couldn’t find any interviewer near my area. But why did they send it this late?

@aliefmoulana‌ That’s so weird. A little late for that.
