RD acceptance notification

nothing yet?

considering that UGA operates their admissions period similarly every year, no more notifications are going to be given out until March 30th (the friday before April 1st)

looks like ill get to keep my anxiety throughout spring break

so glad you wrote that. I've been checking every day.

I heard that from a friend today too. That really sucks. :( I just want to know now.

I don't know about that...on the uga website it says that they will be reviewing applications until march 16...so maybe they will still be releasing some decisions on a rolling basis like the other ones before march 30

My dad called up the admissions office. They told him that they weren't going to send out any more letters until April 1st. They also told him that no rejection letters have been sent out. The first batch of letters that went out were supposably to kids who got deferred from EA and those with really high scores. So, I am not expecting to hear anything back any time soon. Although, even though they said they weren't sending any more letters out until April 1st, I wouldn't be shocked if they did.

they send out letter april 1st, but the application status will be updated March 30th

mkate, they sent letters out to only a few EA deferred kid, right?

yeah, I think. at least, that is how I took it. and even though they told my dad they only accepted the kids with really high scores who didn't do EA, that isn't really true cuz my friend got in with an 1160 SAT and a 3.8 GPA. yeah, she had a high GPA, but the SAT was low. she didn't take too many difficult classes.

Wait... so does that mean that if you got deferred EA and haven't heard then you're denied.... cuz that would really suck

yeah it would. I was deferred with 3.5, 1240, All honors, 3 AP

You and I have VERY similar stats then. After rereading he previous posts, and just considering the people at my school who haven't heard back yet, I just don't think that's right. I'm pretty sure they've just sent a small number. I know of two people so far in my school who've heard from Deferred early action. So, i think there is still some hope

what I meant was the kids who heard back a couple weeks ago were just SOME of the kids that did EA and others who did RD with high scores. not all of them. but the letters for everyone else (the other 90% that applied and haven't heard back) will not be mailed until april 1st. or, I guess they will be up online on march 30th like jaxsurf said. I heard that from someone else too, about the decisions going up online on the 30th.

and I think if you have around a 1250 and a solid GPA with some APs/honors and some good ECs, you're in. especially if you are a guy.

okay, enough. It aint over 'till its over.... goodbye
