RD Acceptance Packet

<p>? Sorry, but I'm just a bit confused about the release of decisions.....</p>

<p>First, why did SCEA admits (and Early Approval admits?) get RD acceptance packets in the mail yesterday? Also, someone said that they had talked to a friend who said they were sending all acceptance packets out at around the same time (does this mean RD admits may get something in the mail as well?). </p>

<p>Second, I thought RD decisions were coming out via email? Furthermore, people seem to think they're coming out this evening?</p>

<p>Ah, can anyone clear this up?</p>

<p>there is lots of random info crap that the EA accepts couldn't get back when they were accepted, so they get that stuff now.</p>

<p>They are coming via email... and mail if you are accepted (but email first).</p>

<p>Stanford (from what I hear) usually likes to send out its decisions via email the friday before the Ivies release, irrelevent of what their posted date is. This year, EA was mailed out friday the 12th even though it wasn't supposed to come out until the 15th along with Yale's. Nobody knows for sure, but the pattern indicates that you may very well get an email tonight at 5-5:30. So check.</p>

<p>Well, the person above me just said 5-5:30 pm; Duke came out at 6:00pm EDT though and, as Stanford is "behind" me (CDT), if they release at 6:00pm, that would be 8:00pm for me! haha. </p>

<p>So, I'm guessing 5-6 o'clock PDT.</p>

<p>well right now it is 9:09 pacific time... so figure out what our time difference is.</p>

<p>Hopefully this won't turn out like Northwestern's, where they email the results and go home, to find that a large percentage of the their emails were blocked by spam blockers at Comcast and Yahoo. We still haven't got ours from last night! With Stanford, it would be all weekend.</p>

<p>So, for us RDers who did not receive an email last night: do you think we may get an RD acceptance packet in the mail today? As I said before, someone was saying that the office was sending out RD acceptances…I really don’t know, I’m just curious…you’d think they’d send the email first though…</p>

<p>^No one received RD emails last night, because Stanford did not send out anything last night. The only people receiving RD packets are EA and early RD admits.</p>
