Got the official big, green envelope via snailmail today!
Accepted to Harpur
Thank God the pressure is off. I'm still waiting on Columbia but, it's such a high reach I'm not holding my breath.
I guess the "PayDeposit" tab was correct a few days ago.

Hong-
Last Thursday I checked the pay-deposit website and I was “elgible to pay a deposit”. It listed my entry term (fall 2011) and what school I got into (Harpur).
I recieved my acceptance packet today.

Exactly the same as jme only last Wednesday, eligible to pay deposit, Fall 2011, Harpur. A close friend who was deferred EA, checked yesterday, Sunday and was not eligible to pay.

Congratulations to those of you who have gotten accepted. I’m checking my mail crazily everyday for even the slightest notification- at this rate, even a post-it note would suffice. We should not be disheartened yet! I’m still not entirely sure how reliable the website is at this point- doesn’t stop me from being on the look out for letters and of the like though.

Just got my rejection E-Mail at 10:15 AM. Applied EA and ultimately got rejected. Oh well, it’s been quite a journey, haha. Best of luck to everyone, and hope everything works out.

Not necessarily nyman… It could be that they haven’t made a decision yet or you are waitlisted. It’s not an extremely reliable way to check your status…

I just checked and it says I am eligible to my deposit for fall 2011 human development. Does that mean i defiantly got in? I STILL haven’t got anything in the mail.

So far it appears that everyone that was elligible to pay their deposit has gotten some form of acceptance within 2 weeks of being able to pay the deposit. So far this is true to Harpur and probably soon for Watson.

If you are not elligible to pay your deposit, you might still get accepted - you just have not been placed in a particular college yet. It does not appear that ALL of the decisions have been finalized.

I would wait for an actual notification before assuming that you have been rejected. And if you are not accepted this year, you can always use that as motivation to try even harder next year and transfer to Binghamton in your second year - if that is truly your number one choice.

It does not matter how you start the journey - just as long as you get to the point you want to be in the end.
