I was just wondering if anyone had items still in the "To Do" list that should have been received and matched. My D's teacher recommendation was submitted twice (as suggested) but it is still shown as Open. I know the recommendation was received and matched by another school (UW-Madison) and the recommendations were sent at the same time. Does anyone know how long it typically takes to match and update the applicant's status?

Very frustrated.

My recommendation was checked off about 2 weeks after it was sent. But my teacher sent it through the internet.

And my applications do not seem to have a problem yet since it doesn’t have anything in the “To-Do List”

Did you apply using cfnc?

no, I used UNC’s official undergraduate website.

We were frustrated as well. We sent things for my daughter last December and a month later it still didn’t show up. I called and was told to wait for two more weeks. I then saw that the Pogue notifications were supposed to be sent in mid Febuary, so I sent another set anyway. I then sent an e-mail and was told they would look for my D’s file. Today she looked at her portal and everything shows up as being received.

Mine took literally six weeks (sent in mid December) to get checked off. It’s very inconvenient…but try calling or waiting lol.

I’d resend, email if possible now…and ask them to acknowledge your email since it is the second time. Then follow up by phone until corrected.

We applied EA and had the same problem with sent items not showing up when all other schools had received them. We were told time and again to wait…just be patient. Finally, they posted a blog entry in the 1st or 2nd week of January that said everyone with missing TODO items needs to send them in ASAP or they couldn’t evaluate their application. We resent immediately but I believe this caused our D (who has near perfect stats) to not be considered for scholarships or the honors program.

Here’s the entry from the UNC blog from January that says who to contact:

"School transcripts must be official copies received by mail; all other items may be emailed to Andrea Felder or faxed to (919) 966-3979. Please be sure all correspondence includes your full name, your birth date, and the deadline for which you are applying.

We appreciate your interest in us, and we look forward to reading your complete application and getting to know you. If you have any questions, please email us or contact us at (919) 966-3621. "

If contacting Andrea Felder doesn’t work, email Ashley or Julie from the blogs directly. The admissions phone people usually blow you off.
